PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This is a very important and environmentally friendly project carried out for the rehabilitation of the old waste disposal site of the city of Lviv in accordance with EU standards, making it harmless to nature and turning it into a green area for the city. Phase 1 of the project works will be executed. The project area is approximately 35 ha. 

– Shaping the waste mass with certain slopes and benches to make it safe and stable, and constructing protective toe embankments in specific areas, 

– Applying different insulation layers on top of the waste mass to prevent rainwater from penetrating into it, 

– Collecting the gases within the waste mass by opening gas wells and installing piping systems, and then transferring these gases to the power generation facility, 

– Collecting all wastewater and connecting it to the existing treatment facility, 

– Constructing stormwater lines to discharge rainwater from the site without contamination, 

– Treating the polluted water in the wastewater ponds located in front of the waste site at the existing treatment facility, emptying the ponds, rehabilitating the area with clean soil, and returning it to nature, 

– And including many other auxiliary works.
